Dr. April Greener

From 2018-2020, she served as the clinic director at Westminster College. At Westminster, in addition to managing family practice/acute care concerns, she worked closely with the student athletes and provided concussion evaluation, management, and treatment. She has completed concussion training and certification with the CDC Heads Up. Dr Greener specialized in spine care and pain management for over five years, evaluating and treating patients with cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine injuries. She believes in comprehensive care including multiple modalities to promote the best possible outcome.

She also has experience and provided expertise with patients for pain relief through trigger point injections, joint injections, and medication management as appropriate. Extensive experience in Spine MRI and X-ray interpretation. She has performed and assisted with nerve blocks for patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Dr. Greener has a huge heart and has volunteered, and continues to volunteer, at Camp Hobe. Camp Hobe is a summer camp for children with cancer and children in cancer remission as well as their siblings. She is a volunteer in the “Med Shack”, providing care to campers and all camp volunteers. Her community outreach also includes providing care for underserved and uninsured patients, primarily well woman care. The services she provides for these women included pelvic exams, clinical breast exams, birth control, and STI management.

Dr. Greener has experience in First Aid and has provided medical coverage for large events with attendance of over 21, 000 people. She is frequently the lead provider at these events and is placed in charge of other volunteers and has the responsibility to run any potential codes. Dr. Greener is also an educator. She provides lectures and education to patients and family members about Alpha One Antitrypsin Deficiency. She represents the Alpha One Foundation as an exhibitor at the National NAPNAP and National AANP conferences yearly.

She has a passion for teaching, mentoring, and investing in future Nurse Practitioner colleagues as an Assistant Professor at Westminster College. Her loves include: her husband, four children +2 bonus exchange student sons, long walks, a purposeful life, card games around the dining table, music, roller coasters, and genuine connections with people.
