Post-Surgical Therapy

Deciding to get surgery is a big decision for anyone, and one that shouldnā€™t be rushed into if not needed. There are times where surgery is absolutely necessary and there are no other ways the injury/problem can be fixed.

There are times, however, that surgery may not be the best option, and knowing what options are available is important. It may be good to ask around, especially from the those who provide conservative care, such as a physical therapist or non-surgical orthopedic doctor. With that being said, when a person does have surgery, physical therapy is often a big part of the process.

There are many things that a therapist will provide for a person who is going through the rehab process in the form of physical and hands-on treatment. But often just as important, they are the cheerleader for the individual to help them through the potentially rough months they have ahead.

What kind of surgery are you considering?
