Sciatica Leg Pain

Sciatica is pain that radiates along the sciatic nerve, often when that nerve is compressed by something, like a herniated disc, piriformis syndrome, sacroiliac dysfunction, or bone spur.

Additionally, accident or injury are also causes of sciatica.  Running and exercise can often cause sciatic pain due to biomechanical alterations in the pelvis which can lead to pain through the hips and down the legs.

Other symptoms of sciatica include:

  • Tingling and/or Numbness in the Extremities
  • Muscle Weakness
  • Prickling Sensations
  • Sleeplessness

Sciatic pain, including sciatica leg pain, can often be resolved quickly with the right treatment.
